What does Hi-Tech Transportation do?

Hi-Tech Transportation LLC is a specialized logistics carrier based in Charlotte, NC, founded in 2004. We provide white glove and final mile delivery, medical device delivery, data center relocation, crating and packing, and warehousing for high-value equipment, using uniformed, trained crews and GPS-tracked vehicles.

What is white glove delivery?

White glove delivery is a premium service where the crew brings an item inside to the room of choice, then unpacks it, places it and removes the packaging. Hi-Tech provides white glove delivery to homes, offices, hospitals and labs in Charlotte, NC and across the Southeast.

What items need white glove delivery?

Anything high-value, heavy or fragile that must arrive undamaged and ready to use, such as flat-screen TVs, servers and network equipment, medical and imaging equipment, lab analyzers, electronics and appliances. Hi-Tech's crews use air-ride trucks, rail lift-gates, stair climbers and floor protection to handle these items safely.

What is final mile delivery?

Final mile delivery is the last leg of the supply chain: moving a shipment from a warehouse or hub to its final destination, whether a home, office, hospital or job site. Hi-Tech provides final mile delivery in Charlotte, NC and across seven Southeast states, with GPS tracking on every vehicle.

What is the difference between final mile and white glove delivery?

Final mile delivery is the last leg of a shipment, from the hub to the customer's door. White glove delivery adds inside delivery, room-of-choice placement, unpacking and packaging removal. Hi-Tech provides both, so high-value shipments arrive placed and ready to use.

What is specialized delivery?

Specialized delivery is transportation for items that standard parcel and freight carriers aren't equipped to handle, such as servers, medical imaging systems and other high-value equipment. It requires trained crews, custom packing or crating, and vehicles with air-ride suspension, lift-gates and cargo securing. Hi-Tech has provided specialized delivery since 2004.

How much does white glove delivery cost in Charlotte, NC?

The cost of white glove delivery depends on the item's size, weight and value, the distance, access at the destination (stairs, elevators, loading docks) and extra services such as crating or unpacking. Hi-Tech quotes each job individually. Call (704) 597-1663 or email info@hi-techtransportation.com for a quote.

What is data center relocation?

Data center relocation is the planned physical move of servers, storage, network equipment and racks from one facility to another. It covers project planning, labeling, de-installation, packing, secure transport and re-installation, so systems come back online with minimal network downtime. Hi-Tech has handled data center moves for Fortune 500 companies.

How does a data center relocation work with Hi-Tech?

Every move starts with project planning. Before any device is touched, it's tested for points of failure and your data is backed up. Our technicians label all equipment and cabling, de-install and pack it, move it in secured, GPS-tracked vehicles, then re-install it at the new site to minimize network downtime.

What equipment does Hi-Tech move in a data center relocation?

We move servers, switches, storage devices, network equipment and server racks. Our technicians label every device and cable, pack each item using methods matched to the equipment, and transport it in air-ride vehicles with E-Track cargo securing and GPS tracking.

What compliance standards does Hi-Tech follow for data center moves?

Hi-Tech's data center relocation services support FACTA, HIPAA, HITECH and GLBA compliance, and every device stays in a complete chain of custody from origin to destination. That matters for healthcare, financial and other organizations moving equipment that holds sensitive data.

Does Hi-Tech relocate data centers outside Charlotte, NC?
